Cake, Creativity and More Party Planning!

A new day, yet another day full of party planning! I swear everywhere I look in the house at the moment, all I see is Batman, black and yellow, oh and the dog- because he follows me everywhere!

Today I went with my sister in law as planned to put in a birthday cake order, I have a fabulous local cake baker/bakery making Spud's personalised cake topper, so all I need is a large - very large, plain undecorated cake, which aren't sold in many places! I could make one, but by the time I've purchased all the ingredients, the accessories and whatnot, it would cost me more money and time - something I just don't have at the moment, possibly because I fell in love with Pinterest and the thousands of ideas they threw at me!

I then come home, had a few mouthfuls of a cup of tea and then it was time to go on my driving lesson (I'm planning on documenting my driving journey soon, so keep an eye out on the blog!). My lesson flew by, I do a two hour lesson every time, and today, like everything else I've done today, time is just running past! I got back from my driving lesson, had a quick bite to eat for lunch as I'd had no breakfast and then I started some of the party prep.

When I say I started, I literally mean I took items out of their packaging, and crossed things off one list, whilst writing another list of items I still need to get. What I was suppose to do today, is start making crayons for the party favours, something for the children to take home, whilst sorting out the last of the garden, and making my own candy pop stands - how wrong did I get it all?

I've still not started the crayons, I still have a million and one things to do, and I have NO idea why I thought I could get creative and make my own cake pop stands! I can't even draw a stickman, let alone do anything creative with wood, but what do I do!? I've spent a small fortune on the things I need to make the cake pops, and have everything ready, just no stands to put the completed cake pops in! So in the end,
I resorted to calling in the local London handyman Handy Squad, and they're only more than happy to sort this for me!

Which still leaves me with a huge list, as long as my arm but at least they're minor jobs in comparison to what I had planned to do with the stands! Tonight will see me hopefully making a start on the crayons, something I've been meaning to do for the last few days, I'm armed (with wax) and ready to go, so there's nothing to stop me there, and I also need to write a post for Spud, as his actual birthday is on Thursday, and these things usually take me about a week to perfect!

So..... Parent friends, please send me cake, and any party organisers you may know!

Until next time,
Jada x
