Learn To Make Your Time Count In 3 Minutes Flat

If there’s one thing I wish I had more of, it would be time. Time to spend with family. Time to spend with friends. Time to become a better person.

While it’s impossible to physically add hours to the day, you can at least make your time go further. Here are five tips I’ve recently been trying to follow, and over the next three minutes, you’ll learn how to too.

Stop Worrying About Social Media
Yep, the big one that I’m sure most of you could’ve guessed. Seriously, why do we spend so much time talking to people we don’t even like enough to see in real life when we have loved ones sitting in the same room?

I’m not debating that those platforms are wonderful, I have no problem with using social media to post a few photos and keep in touch with friends and family that live far away. However, if you learn to put the phone down and enjoy the real world, I promise you’ll feel happier in no time.

Start The Day In Style
As the old proverb says, the early bird catches the worm. As a parent, you don’t always get a choice on what time you wake up. However, you can at least take control by attacking the day in style, and that begins with a great night’s sleep.

If it means going to bed an hour earlier, do it. Let’s face it; sacrificing an episode of your favourite Netflix show is worthwhile if it means you’ll gain more from the following day. Besides, the physical benefits of better skin and hair are a nice bonus too.

Embrace Home Additions
Unfortunately, unless you’re rich enough to employ a maid, you can’t escape housework. However, you can at least save valuable time by equipping your home with a few simple upgrades.

You can find a huge range of boiling water taps on the internet, and they can save valuable minutes throughout the day. Combine this with other machines and gadgets, especially the slow cooker, to make life that little bit easier, and you’ll suddenly have more free time to do the things you actively enjoy.

Learn To Clock Off
For a blogger like me, or anyone that runs a small business or is self-employed, it’s difficult to switch off from work. However, scheduling your day in a more organised fashion could be the secret to greater success. In turn, that will lead to more leisure time too.

I read an article about a guy who only does his emails once each day. I’ve since started doing them twice – once at the start and once at the end – of each day. Has it helped me get more done? Yes. More importantly, I’m no longer replying while eating my dinner or spending time with my family. Try it; you’ll be amazed at just how much time you’ve been wasting on those often needless conversations. If someone genuinely needs quick responses, talking via phone is a better option anyway.

Exercise In A Smatter Fashion
Most people want to stay fit, but very few have the time to dedicate an hour to the gym every single day. So why not take back some of your free time by incorporating an HIIT home workout.

You’ll burn more calories in less time, and can also remove the need for travelling to the gym. On another note, it also removes the unwanted feelings of struggling in front of other people. That in itself is a massive reward.

Hopefully these tips alone will help you out a little more, for more tips on how to make your time go further, there's loads of articles out there on the internet.
