When me and my little brother Jamie was younger, as in young teenagers, we saved up all our pocket money to buy my dad a nice birthday present once. To be fair, Jamie was 11 so not quite yet a teenager, and I was 13 and had no idea what I was really doing!
We come across a website selling really cheap rugby tickets, us being young, naive and not knowing too much about rugby at all, we booked our father these tickets whilst I excitedly waited for them to arrive through our door, like my dads previous ticket buys have, only they didn't!
It was only when I had to ask my dad for help on what to do, for his own birthday present that we realised they had to be picked up on the day, and what was even more funnier was the match was an over 50s special charity match for a work place in Kent, a good few hours drive away! Luckily dad see the funny side and laughed it off, not worrying about a birthday present at all, but telling us the thought was what counted!
In honour of the Rugby World Cup starting in September, Allianz are celebrating their partnership with Saracens RFC by creating a fun and enjoyable, online initiative to bring people from all walks of life together through rugby, and you can be involved in a great pass, and also win prizes too!
As you may of seen from the video, the idea is to film a rugby pass from one person to another, and maybe even another, another, another and son on! For example, Spud could pass the ball to me, then I can pass the ball to Gareth, then Gareth could pass the ball to his dad, his dad to his mum, his mum to his brother and so on....
There are great prizes to be won too once you've uploaded your pass from a £150 Ticketmaster voucher to exclusive Saracen prizes, such as tickets to see them play, signed rugby balls and a top prize which is lunch with the team after attending a training session!
To find out more, and to upload your pass, check out the official website, don't forget to share your video on your social media platforms too using the #PassAroundTheWorld
Upload your pass and join the likes of Owen Farrell and his teammates, Lewis Hamilton, the Bayern Munich FC team, Paul McGinley and hundreds of people from across the world.
Until next time,
Jada x
