Firstly I need to apologise as this is a review that has taken me a few months to get round to doing, even though the DVD has been played at least 10 times since we received the DVD, I have not had the time to sit down and watch every single second of the DVD with Spud, yes Spud gets his say in with reviews, but how could I sit and write a review on something I have not watched myself? This week I finally got around to watching the DVD with Spud.
Abbey Home Media sent us Harry and His Bucket Full of Dinosaurs to review.
This DVD was released on the 6th August for the summer holidays hence the title ''school's out'', I actually managed to watch the whole DVD this week, whilst Spud has been on half term from school, so technically school was out in our household but this DVD in my opinion is not one to be watched only when the children are off school on school breaks but is suitable for the whole year round!
The DVD last for 66 minutes and contains the following 6 episodes;
- School’s Out
- Hurray for Pizza
- Superheroes Don’t Dance
- Is that Really a Lamp?
- I Want to Help
- Somebody’s Moving
If you have ever watched a episode of Harry and His Bucket Full of Dinosaurs then you will know Harry & his Dinosaurs go on little adventures via his magic blue bucket.
On this particular Harry and His Bucket Full of Dinosaurs DVD the theme is learning, from going to dinosaur school with Harry being the teacher 'Mr Harry' and then Harry creating a volcano that explodes as he gets the mixture wrong, to the dinosaurs graduating at the end of the 1st episode, to learning how to make pizza with Harry opening his own pizza shop in episode number 2.
Along the other episodes Harry and his dinosaurs find them selves in different situations and roles, with Harry and his dinosaurs helping out a friend whilst moving, a party, a friendly Harry helping his Mum paint which goes wrong and much more.
I would recommend this DVD to anyone who has children under the age of 8, Spud has watched this DVD many times and has not got bored of it!
My autistic nephew loves this DVD too, he is currently borrowing it from us, he has an obsession with animals and dinosaurs and told me all the different species featured in the DVD with me nodding my head (not that I knew before he told me, shh).
This DVD is currently available to buy from Amazon for just £5 including free delivery.
Until next time,
Jada x
